Members of Poole Bushido Ju-jitsu Club attended the United Nations Ju-jitsu Championships in Gibraltar and came home with four gold medals and three bronze.
Representing their club and Team GB was Andy Walker, Club Instructor who won gold in Weapons Kata and Ground Fighting and bronze in Sparring, Liam Walkey who brought home bronze in Continuous Fighting, and George Pearce and Karen Nuttall who both won gold in Sparring.
Four members coming home with seven medals is a fantastic result and testament to the excellent training, commitment and dedication of all club members.
Sensei Andy Walker said: “Representing our club and country at such a prestigious event was an honour. I am very proud of all those who participated and thrilled at the way they competed. We are looking forward to more events in 2019, followed by the next United Nations Championships which will be held in 2020 in Valencia, Spain.”
